Volleyball’s stage 1 games were held from 1st to 4th February during the evenings. Favourites Godavari cruised into the next stage by winning all three of their games, and were joined by Ganga with the same result. All other qualifying hostels won two out of three games. Alakananda, Pampa and Jamuna were helped on the way by walkover wins against Brahmaputra and Cauvery.
Hostels that entered the second stage: Godav, Ganga, Alak, Pampa, Jamuna, Saras, Tapti and Mahanadi.
The second stage pairings and dates will be announced shortly. This league state will be followed by the knockout semifinal and final rounds.
