Writing club

The Writing Club is relatively a younger member of the cultural club committee, and is the place to be for those interested in anything remotely literary and would like to share their work, to learn and to take part in related competitions.The club plans to hold a number of intra-college events and competitions, and also workshops. This semester saw a script-writing workshop by Anumpama Chandrashekar, and also a story-writing workshop. There will be a poetry workshop before the end of the semester.Other plans include a travel journalist writing event and ‘Treasonous Verses’.

The Writing Club holds a monthly reading and writing session called Inklings, where budding writers present their work. It also has plans of a flagship event which is scheduled to happen in the month of February with an estimated participation of hundred. This event is budgeted at Rs. 60, 000 and hopes to get the likes of prominent writers, and also host a large-scale national online writing competition.
